ShCached[Alpha]

It’s a caching engine for Linux/Unix Platform which can only cache string or integer type data. It uses a very low resource and CPU clock.

INSTALLATION :

Just Run the following command(s) :

  • sh install.sh

User Guide :

  • Syntax for Starting the ShCached(alpha) Server :
    • shcached -p {port_number}
  • Syntax for Connecting to the server :
    • Put Data into Caching Server :

    shclient -h {server_address} -p {server_port_number} -r PUT -k {key} -v {value}

    • Get Data from Caching Server :

    shclient -h {server_address} -p {server_port_number} -r GET -k {key}

    • Update Data into Caching Server :

    shclient -h {server_address} -p {server_port_number} -r UPDATE -k {key} -v {value}

    • Remove Data from Caching Server :

    shclient -h {server_address} -p {server_port_number} -r REMOVE -k {key}

Detailed Information :

  • Server Parameters :

-p : port number (not occupied by any other program) recommended port: 1234

  • Client Parameters :

-h : ip address or public name where server is running
-p : port number where server is running
-k : key to identify appropriate data
-v : required value by user
